Early 20thC carver in BRIDGEWATER, South Australia for sale
This carver is upholstered in what looks like an original William Morris fabric, although it can't be authenticated without removal from the chair according to SA Museum staff who inspected it. So this $100 chair could be a $1000 rare piece! Material is worn on the leading edge but the chair itself is in excellent condition for its age. There is also a delicately hand painted briar rose on the chair back which doesn't show in the photo.
